With a weekend full of pushes down the slide, piggy backs around the park, and chases through the leaves, I couldn't agree more.
With both kids down, we turned on our backyard twinkle lights and watched the sky transform. I reached for my sweater as the evening settled in, promises of Autumn with a chill in the air.
"Can I get you some more wine honey, " asked Brian.
Halfway through our bottle, we dragged our chairs down to the yard, huddled around the fire, and warmed our toes.
"Looking good" he said, "perfect for marshmallows."
"Perfect," I agreed.
And with the baby monitor quietly humming underneath our favourite Andrew Bird album we enjoyed each other's company while the fire flickered the night away.

LOVE. Perfect.
You two are so cute! Love the date night idea
love fall and bonfires!
This is in reply to the comment you left me. I wanted to email it but didn't see an email address for you!
Yes, you can comment but try to reference the tweet. Heck, sometimes I will tweet and then not check again for hours and someone will have replied to my tweet from 6 hours before and I will continue the conversation. If someone doesn't like it? They can unfollow me. :) And from the comments, it seems everyone at one time or another feels like an outsider. You need to go ahead and make a connection with a few folks and they can be your "crew" so to speak. Don't give up just yet!
What a perfect evening. I've been perusing your blog. The photos are so beautiful. They capture the moments wonderfully. Your family is gorgeous. What a treat!
Thanks Morgan...that's very sweet of you to say. Your blog is a treat to read as well, one i look forward to.
Sounds like a wonderful date night! I love warm fires on cool nights, so warm and toasty. You and your husband are so cute!
